A shift in conditions.

Set & setting without the substance.

Most change is framed as a question of effort. More discipline. More structure. More speed.

But meaningful change often begins somewhere else. With a shift in conditions.

When a team is under pressure, attention narrows. Decision-making becomes reactive. Creativity becomes difficult to access.

The problem is not always the people. Often, it is the state they are working from.

This is the deeper idea behind set and setting: our internal state and our external environment shape the quality of an experience.

The insight is not limited to substances, rituals or retreats. It applies to leadership.

Before a team can think clearly about AI, strategy or transformation, the conditions around the conversation need to change. Less noise. More space. A different rhythm.

This is why a Bon Sentiment workshop does not begin with another presentation deck. It begins by changing the room.

In Mallorca, the phone quiets. The body slows down. The view creates distance from the usual urgency. Only then does the real question become available:

What is actually possible now?
