Set & setting in production.

A good location is not only about how it looks. It is about whether the production can actually work there.

The light may be beautiful. The coastline may be perfect. The finca may fit the treatment.

But if access is complicated, timing is fragile or the crew has nowhere to land, the location becomes a problem instead of an asset.

This is the second layer of scouting. Set and setting.

The set is what appears on camera. The setting is everything that allows the production to happen around it.

Access. Holding areas. Permits. Sound. Shade. Distance. Crew meals. Transport. Local rhythm. The things that rarely appear in the final image, but determine whether the day runs well.

Location scouting in Mallorca requires both eyes. One eye for the frame. One eye for the ground.

At Bon Sentiment, scouting is not treated as a search for pretty places. It is the work of matching a creative brief with the reality of the island.

Because the best location is not always the most spectacular one. It is the one that lets the work happen.
